My name is Alex Dörfler, and you can currently find me working at Mano Electrica Tattoo in Sitges, just outside Barcelona.

I started tattooing about fifteen years ago in the center of Germany, when I was around fifteen years old. Since then, tattooing has taken me across Europe, Asia, and Australia, allowing me to connect with different people, cultures, and philosophies.

Over the past years, I’ve spent a lot of time on the road — sometimes for years in a row, living out of a backpack, suitcase, or camper van. Always chasing new adventures, discovering beautiful places, and searching for the best waves to surf.

These experiences have shaped how I see the craft, not just as visual art, but as a form of energy and storytelling that stays with someone for a lifetime.

I would describe my style as a fusion of traditional tattoo elements, spiritual and symbolic influences, and a subtle surreal touch. My goal is to create tattoos that feel alive, pieces that carry a calm strength, emotional depth, and harmony in composition and color.

For me, every tattoo is a collaboration, a conversation between the craftsman, the client, and the moment.

It’s about creating something honest and timeless.
